Original oil paintings
by Lyn Bruce
Contemporary, colour-led paintings created in oils by Lancashire-based artist Lyn Bruce.
Lyn Bruce
Lyn Bruce is a contemporary colourist painter working primarily in oils. Her paintings are full of bold, expressive colour, textured brushwork and palette knife marks, with a particular interest in people, places and the moments of connection that sit beneath the surface of an image.
From figurative paintings and interiors to landscapes and plein-air studies, Lyn’s work is created to bring energy, colour and story into the spaces where it is displayed.
Colour, texture and stories beneath the surface
Lyn’s work is driven by a love of colour and an emotional connection to the subjects she paints. Many of her paintings explore people, relationships and fleeting moments of significance, while others capture landscapes, interiors and places that hold atmosphere or memory.
Working mainly in oils on board or canvas, Lyn often uses thick paint, palette knife marks and bold, high-key colour to create paintings that feel expressive, joyful and visually alive.
